THOM
ELENKA
I began my radio career at
WVNA-AM, Tuscumbia, AL,
working the weekends and
running reel-to-reels of the Bruce
Williams Show.

I next landed at WQLT-FM in
Florence, AL, where my boss was
the legendary man who sold Elvis
to RCA for $25000, Sam Phillips.
I moved to Nashville and worked
at WTN-FM and WSM-AM/FM,
the Home of the Grand Ole
Opry.

And then I moved to New York
City, got a job with Westwood
One where I was the Board Op
for the live Broadcast of the
Bruce Williams show.

Crazy, huh.

And at every station, I recorded
hundreds of commercials.
